1) The Despised Friend |
Jesus is one who was our Despised Friend; we knew little or
nothing about Him and did not concern ourselves with Him.
A far as anything he had done for us, He was despised.
|
|
|
2) The Faithful Friend |
Jesus is the Faithful Friend. He promises never to leave or
forsake.
The Bible speaks of Him when it says there is a friend who
sticks close than brother.
|
|
|
3) The Sinners Friend |
He
is our Friend, too, because we have all sinned.
Our sin and transgression must not prevent us from coming to Him
for forgiveness healing and friendship.
|
|
|
4) The Wounded Friend |
He
was wounded for our transgressions. His wounds bind His love to
us; they endorse the strength of His friendship.
Our friendship is greater because he was wounded.
|
|
|
5) The Benevolent Friend |
He
bestows numberless blessing upon His children. No good thing
will he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
He loves to give and delights in the requests made upon him by
His children.
|
|
|
6) The Demanding Friend |
He
asks for diligence, dedication and devotion to duty.
He is Lord and his servants serve Him, both in this life and in
that which is to come.
|
|
|
7) The Compassionate Friend |
He
understands and treats His friends gently and in love.
When no one else seems willing or able to help, He is there
ready to do so. He answers even while we are calling to Him.
|
|
|
8) The Heavenly Friend |
His friendship extends to getting us safely to the heaven He is
preparing for those who love Him.
Heaven is His home and will be the home of His followers as they
enjoy His presence and bliss for eternity
