‘Take heed, watch and pray’ [Mark 13:33 (RAV)]

‘Take heed, watch and pray’. This is a tripod on which more of us would do well to stand.
1. Heed the signs of the times, the warnings of the Word of God, the voice of the Spirit as He seeks to guide us.
2. Watch. Don’t sleep, cat-nap or even lose concentration on the matter in hand. Watch out for the fulfilment of God’s Word.
3. Pray for yourself, for your loved ones, for others laid upon your heart. Bathe your daily living in prayer.
All knowledge, much strength and plenty of experience are of little use unless you take heed, watch and pray.
