“Why this waste? ” [Matthew 26:8(NIV)]

“Why this waste? “. The disciples confused hoarding with saving, and using with wasting, when they made this unkind remark about the woman who poured her flask of costly fragrant oil upon their Master.
What use is the most treasured and valuable possession stored away? Its only real use is that when the opportunity arises someone may benefit from it.
This is just what this woman did. She saved what she had until she could give it to Jesus. How many of us are doing the same?
What you have should be given to the Lord at the first opportunity, not the last. That applies to the cup of cold water in His Name, as well as the investment of the pound He has given you.
