“the wisdom of God … which none of the princes of this world knew” [I Corinthians 2:7,8]

“the wisdom of God … which none of the princes of this world knew”. The Apostle Paul is here arguing that it was because the leaders of the nation were unaware of the plan of God that they allowed Jesus to be crucified. The earthly wisdom of princes did not extend to the heavenly wisdom of God.
World rulers may exercise dominion over millions of individuals yet they may be completely ignorant of the real meaning of life and the high spiritual calling there is in Christ.
An excellent position in this world’s aristocracy can be meaningless in reality. It is those who love God and who seek to do His will that can experience the Lord’s appointment.
We know that Jesus rejoiced in the knowledge that what was hidden from the wise is revealed to babes in Christ.
