“your work of faith” [I Thessalonians 1:3]

“your work of faith”. Faith is much more than a vague wish. Faith leads to action that produces results. But it’s not about how much faith we have but rather who our faith is in. As someone once said, “It’s not whether you have great faith in God but that you have faith in a great God.” Many today put their faith in other men, in science or technology. But all these will let us down, however much faith is put into them. But the ‘mustard seed’ of faith in Christ, can achieve a work for God that will last into eternity.
Faith is encouraged as it is applied and is rewarded as it is demonstrated. All who came in faith to Jesus, however tentative, received the assurance that their faith had brought healing and salvation.
