“now he commands all men everywhere to repent” [Acts 17:30(RAV)]

“now he commands all men everywhere to repent”. We are so lethargic that God needs do more than provide a way of escape, He must command us to take it! This he does and commands all men everywhere to repent; to turn from their evil ways and look to the Lord. We must behave responsibly with the life He has given us. It is to us that God is speaking today and it is our lives that carry responsibility.
We need to repent if we would be free from the failure and purposeless existence outside Christ. God offers eternal life – beginning now – to those who will repent. He has provided a way of salvation whereby whoever will may be saved from the consequences of sin. God has appointed a day when He will judge the world in righteousness. Man must stop, assess his position, turn to God in repentance if he will be saved at last.
