“do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live” [Deuteronomy 4:9(NIV)]
“do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live”. If this injunction was needed for the Israelite in the Old Testament, it is certainly needed by the follower of Jesus today.
Jesus described His followers as fools and slow of heart more than once and chided them for forgetting what He had taught them and their experiences with Him in the past.
The only sure way to not let the lessons of the past slip is to rehearse them and thank the Lord for them.
If you’re for ever praising Him for bringing you thus far, you’ll be convinced of His power to keep you and your trust in Him will be firm and sure. Enjoy the blessings of the past and with expectancy look to an even more blessed future. Rejoice in the Lord always.
