“because you have wholly followed the Lord my God” [Joshua 14:9(RAV)]

“because you have wholly followed the Lord my God”. Caleb comes to us as a quiet, steady and godly leader. He did not seek notoriety and neither did he hesitate to speak positively about entry into the Promised Land when all but one of the other spies spoke against it.
Throughout the forty years wandering in the wilderness, he suffered alongside those who had brought that punishment upon Israel. God was leading him and he faithfully followed and he and Joshua were the only two of those that left Egypt who entered Canaan.
For this faithfulness he was rewarded with his promised inheritance. God will reward you if you follow Him though you are surrounded by godless and evil men and you feel you stand alone.
