Water may quench many fires, both of passion and arson but it cannot dampen love.
True love is the property at the centre of one’s being. Something painted on the outside is what the world describes as “love” today.
God’s love is greater far than all else and it is so wonderful because we can behold it in Jesus. See the water of persecution and oppression that has been poured upon the lovers of Jesus down the years and then look at the way that it has only caused that love to spread.
Then remember we love Him because He first loved us.
