“the noise was heard afar off” [Ezra 3:13]

“the noise was heard afar off” .Praises of God are joyful and deserve to be loud too so that others may hear. The crowd in the sports stadium can be heard outside, why not the people of God when enough of them meet together to make that joyous sound?
The noise referred to in Ezra was a mixture of shouts for joy and sound of weeping. Both brought honour to God. Older ones wept for joy at the memory of what the first temple looked like. Many others shouted for joy.
When God is in the midst of His people, joy and weeping mingle naturally. Has the noise of your salvation reached the ears of others? The life-changing experience of the Spirit is something we must hear about.
