Appeal for Nepal – Can you help?

Readers of BAM News will have been following the ministry of the church we support in Nepal and its outreach into the mountain villages. Whilst there has recently been a significant increase in persecution of Christians in Nepal, it is wonderful to know that these church fellowships are growing and maintaining a faithful Christian witness.

The city church has been renting land adjoining their building, which they use when there is insufficient room within the church. This land is now for sale and we believe that it is right for the church fellowship to try to purchase it.

If they owned the land, they would be protected from future harassment coming from a new owner who is not supportive of the Christian faith. It would also be possible for the much-needed child-care ministry to restart. Regular readers of BAM News will know that the authorities forced the termination of this work because it was taking place within the church. The child-care ministry is a great help to many working families who are on very low incomes: this work could take place on land adjacent to the church.

Humanly-speaking, it is a big ask for a small fellowship to raise sufficient funds to purchase this land, but a small thing for our Lord if it is His will. Like us, you have probably been really encouraged to hear of so many people becoming followers of Christ in these churches. As we praise God for what is past, we recognise that this may be a pivotal moment in His work in this country.

Pray with us that God will give wisdom, and if it is his will, make available the funds needed to purchase this land.  If you would be able to contribute financially your gift will be greatly appreciated. Please use the donate page for Nepal, (please use reference LAND) or contact us for other ways to transfer money. If you can use gift-aid, then all the tax we reclaim will be used to help purchase this land.   Thank you.
