“Better … a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city”. Lose your temper and we fear you cannot be trusted with anything.
The most wonderful and at the same time the most fearful thing you have is yourself.
This is why we need to place our emotions into the hand of the Lord. If Jesus is Lord, then temper is no longer our immediate responsibility.
We know we’re safe if the temper will not flare up. Come with wise words and a peaceful manner and, if we know that the storm of anger will not arise, we can look forward to a good day.
For some, controlling the temper is a huge undertaking, but the Lord can deal with that if you commit it to Him.
