“Go, stand and speak … all the words of this life” [Acts 5:20]

“Go, stand and speak … all the words of this life”. So commissioned the angel who opened the prison to release Peter.
That night in prison did Peter good. It was the common prison and he saw prison conditions at their worst. His arrest was made at the request of the high priest and other leaders who were incensed at the great number of people turning to Jesus. But it was God’s way of getting Peter to meet an angel and experience a mighty deliverance.
The words of “this life” were of the new life in Christ. It was God’s will that all should hear then and now.
Many years ago, I heard of a Christian imprisoned in Yugoslavia who while in prison showed the prisoners how to tune in to a gospel broadcast on the radio!
