“I have all I need here among my own people” [II Kings 4:13(GNB)]

“I have all I need here among my own people” .This was the Shunammite woman’s reply to Elisha when he suggested that in return for her kindness and effort, her name might be put forward for promotion to the palace.
Yet while the woman was saying she had all she needed, her heart yearned for a son. The Lord knew this and gave Elisha the prophecy that by next year she would have a son.
Some of us may say that we have all we need now we belong to the Lord. Yet at the same time we do have a need for more of the Lord, true growth in grace and expansion in His service.
The Lord has not changed: he is ever waiting to lead His followers into new and satisfying pasture.
