“I want to encourage you” [I Peter 5:12(GNB)]

“I want to encourage you”. What a lovely expression! How we should all be seeking to do this, one to the other! Here are some ways in which we may encourage our brothers and sisters:
take a genuine interest in their situation
tell them you appreciate what they are doing
assure them you’re praying for them, talk positively with them
tell them about others who have won through
be an overcomer in the Lord yourself and help them to do the same
pick them up when they’re down, put them right when they’re wrong and do it all in true brotherly love
be ready to sacrifice something in order to help them
show them from the Scriptures the goodness of the Lord.
