“the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark” [Acts 12:12(GNB)]

“the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark”. A godly home in which John Mark was brought up to love the Lord and desire to serve Him. It was the centre for meaningful church activity and the natural choice for an all-night prayer meeting among the believers when Peter was imprisoned and under sentence of death. Many were gathered there because it was a place where it was good to be. No wonder it was the house that Peter made for when the angel left him on the streets of the city after releasing him from prison!
Our churches and church fellowships may be warm and friendly and church activity and service can take a lot of time once we become disciples of the Lord. But it is in the home where we really relax and where the love and warmth of the Christian family can be best appreciated.
