“Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens”. Other translations say “Sit still” – the most difficult thing to do when you’re excited and wanting to get things moving. But it was sound advice that Naomi gave to her daughter-in-law.
It was almost too good to be true that the nobleman Boaz would take this refugee Moabitess to be his wife. Yet if God was in it, there was no problem.
God’s plan is exciting for your life if you will surrender it to Him. It is often something that unfolds a little at a time as in the love match between Ruth and Boaz.
There is no need to rush ahead: sometimes you do better to sit still and see just what is happening. As your life is in His hand, you will see it happen all in good time.
