“Will you not revive us again, That your people may rejoice in you? ” [Psalm 85:6(RAV)]

“Will you not revive us again, That your people may rejoice in you? ” .Here are two cardinal truths. First, that revival comes from the Lord. It comes down: we do not stir it up. It revives dying embers (or members) and is a breath from heaven and it makes all the difference. It is to the Lord our eyes should be looking for revival – not on our planning skill and ability.
Second, when revival comes it brings true joy and rejoicing. It is a blessed state of heart.
Revival from the Lord is no palliative or transient euphoria. Experiencing it leaves the recipient in no doubt about its blessing and its effect fills all with deep and overflowing joy. It appears to come in waves, perhaps related to our falling away, so we need to ask the Lord to revive us again.
