“Would God my lord were with the prophet” [II Kings 5:3]

“Would God my lord were with the prophet” .How grateful all could be that the servant girl gave expression to her thoughts! It often takes a servant to say what others only dare think. Furthermore, how good that this girl was concerned for her master! Maybe his service gave her a sense of belonging and she felt her future lay in his hands.
Perhaps best of all was that she had a faith and a conviction that, properly approached, the prophet in Samaria could do something. The servant girl knew better than the noblemen: she said go to the prophet. That he chose to go to the king resulted in a problem. Let more servants of a greater Master be bold and say what they think today. This can only result in more being delivered from their spiritual leprosy.
