“You have stayed long enough at this mountain”. Some of us can settle down and be comfortable anywhere. But a halfway house is not for permanent residence.
The Children of Israel lingered too long at Mount Horeb and the Lord had to tell Moses to get them on their way to the Promised Land. A “sit-down” should only be for a short rest. Relaxed and restful is not advancing you on the path God has ordained for you to walk.
Some sit down and never get up again – they stay so long they lose all desire. Some wait for others to join them or for the moving of waters that never takes place. Many are content with a limited blessing and see no need to advance further.
Let us be up and going when we are told to move forward.
