“How many loaves do you have? ” [Mark 8:5(NIV)]

“How many loaves do you have? “. With this question, Jesus turns the whole perspective on the situation around. Instead of looking at what they hadn’t got, as the disciples were doing, Jesus looks at what they have got. Jesus hadn’t actually asked the disciples to provide the bread. He’d simply shared his concern for the people. But instead of asking how they could help, the disciples, like many of us, could only see the difficulties. Jesus saw the opportunity.
Jesus longs to use what you and I do have to encourage our faith, to bring blessing to others and to be a part of what He wants to do. Rather than looking at the problems and difficulties, see the opportunities and offer what you have and are in service to the Lord today. [AP]
