It was not more than a month or two since the events at Calvary and the resurrection. The words of Jesus to His disciples in the appearances He made to them before His ascension would still be fresh in their memory. His Word: “the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart”. Hebrews 4:12 Many times in the Bible reference is made to “His Word”. His Coming: “I will come back” John 14:3 Jesus came once, it should be no great surprise to know that He will come again.
