“Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out” [Matthew 25:8]

“Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out”. This request voiced by the foolish maidens ranks among those not granted. “Go and buy it for yourselves” was the quick reply, but regrettably it was too late.
“Send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue” was another unfulfilled request that Jesus described. So was “Send him to my father’s house that he may warn my brothers”.
Make sure you have the real experience for yourself. It’s folly to expect someone will give you theirs.
