“See that you do not refuse him who speaks” [Hebrews 12:25(RAV)]

“See that you do not refuse him who speaks”. We can wilfully refuse to listen and obey God or we may do so without realising it. Because we do not train our ear to hear His voice or take time out to seek His face or are too busy and miss it, we may bring condemnation upon ourselves.
Receptivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who are born of the Spirit is an essential quality to develop if we would walk in His way and know the blessing of life for evermore.
It is both a privilege and an honour to know God is speaking and something that we need to seek after. Refusing Him because we do not like what we hear is a great tragedy because He only speaks to His children for their blessing and good.
