“strength to go in and take over the land” [Deuteronomy 11:8(NIV)]

<p><b>“strength to go in and take over the land”. </b> Since the Lord created everyone with a job to do there must be every prospect of their being able to do it. If this is not so, the conception of a loving Creator will not stand. It is in doing the job God has for us that most of us fall down: we live without consulting the ‘Maker’s Manual’.
The things we feed our minds upon give us false cravings for what is not good and so often distract us from our true aim which must be to glorify God.
In this Old Testament verse, Moses conveys to the people that it is by finding and obeying God’s commands they will receive strength to take their rightful possession.
There is still much land to be occupied – but it is only by heeding God’s Word that you will possess it.</p>
