“Therefore we do not lose heart” [II Corinthians 4:16(NIV)]

<p><b>“Therefore we do not lose heart”.  </b> You lose heart when all hope has gone. It saps you of energy and motivation. It stifles any spirit within and leaves you vulnerable and weak. But whatever our present circumstances might be, Paul gives believers reasons for not losing heart. He contrasts the physical suffering and decay with the renewing that is happening deep within us that one day will burst forth in eternal glory. He encourages us to keep our eyes fixed on what is now unseen, but will be revealed when Jesus comes again.

One day our salvation will be complete and we will be transformed into the likeness of Christ himself. Troubles now, will produce rich reward then, which will never fade or decay. Don’t lose heart. Do keep going!   [AP]</p>
