“Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God” [Romans 8:8(RAV)]

“Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God”. You can neither please nor serve both God and mammon.
There are no double-agents in Christ’s kingdom!
Satan is responsible for our fallen nature and he makes sure that he controls it. Those who serve sin are sin’s servants. The Devil declared war on God and there is to be no armistice. Please him and you will not please God.
The good news is that Jesus can deliver those who are bound by the Devil. Because of this, trying to please God while retaining sin is impossible. The first step Godward must be attending to the sinful nature. The fountain opened for sin and uncleanness at Calvary has never been stopped.
Once the heart is cleansed, every department of life must benefit. Living to please God is the greatest joy of all.
