“treasure hid” [Matthew 13:44]

“treasure hid”. The kingdom of heaven is like hidden treasure because men are meeting it every day, yet do not know it.
There are some who appreciate something of the wonder heaven must hold yet do not know where to begin looking for it.
From others it is hidden by what seems like scales over their eyes: they will tell you they just cannot see it!
But Jesus said, ‘Seek and you will find’, and when a man does find this treasure, whether by chance or after much searching, he goes all out to secure its blessing.
The kingdom of heaven may be hidden, but it will yield its treasure to those who earnestly seek it.
Hidden from most, but revealed to babes, as Jesus said, and the discovery brings great joy.
