“would you wait …? ” [Ruth 1:13(NIV)]

“would you wait …? “. The prospect was for Ruth or Orpah to wait while their mother-in-law found a husband, bore him children who grew to become their husbands. It was never a serious proposition! Yet many are waiting for what is equally unlikely to happen.
Because of an isolated instance, or a daydream or wishful thinking they spend all their life waiting – waiting for a call that never comes or outside a door that never opens. Ruth neither waited nor went back.
She made Naomi’s God her God and moved forward into a new experience the Lord had for her and it was later remarked that she was worth more than seven sons to Naomi. Don’t wait when the Lord says ‘Come’.
