A great cloud of witnesses

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

This is how the writer of the letter to the Hebrews continues after writing about ‘Faith’ and how it was displayed in the lives of several Old Testament characters. BAM is broadcasting the series on these people and the messages can be heard live via shortwave radio (Saturdays) and via our Listen Again page on the website. It is usually available on the website from the Monday morning (UK time) after the broadcast.

Once it is available the full series will be added to the Audio and Text library.

October Mailing – Where does it go?

What’s in a Name?

Why does my bible sometimes use LORD (all capitals) and at other time Lord (only a capital L)?

Where did the name Jehovah come from and why is it not used so much toady?

Both of these questions are answered in a new short article “Jehovah – What is His name” which has recently been added to the Library.

What’s New

Over the last few weeks we have been working on layout and contents of this site. The primary aim has been to build up a LIBRARY features.

We  have begun to add the text of Booklets, and Book Chapters when they are available and will continue to add more when they are ready.

Another part of this upgrade is the Audio Library.  This route leads to those messages, mainly by Maurice Paine and taken from his booklets, that were broadcast.

These two work together often giving you the option to LISTEN to the message and/or READ the booklet.

DROP DOWN MENU

More options have been added. One example is that the LISTEN AGAIN service is now directly available from that menu. [The current access via the LISTEN page will be closed soon]

Audio Library

We have started to add  Audio files from the radio broadcasts.  The new Audio Library can be accessed via the drop down LISTEN menu on the top bar. The plan is to add all available files over the coming months to give access to a list of helpful Bible Study material written and narrated by Maurice Paine.

The files contain the message section not the whole programme.

IMPROVED LIBRARY one of the new features

The top menu includes ‘Drop Down’ lists on some of the options. For example the Read link enables access to Newsletters and a new Library page.

The Library page is still being upgraded but already there is access to many of the BAM publications. Where available there is a option to listen to the ‘as broadcast’ version.

Phase 2!

With some changes made to the background coding we are now ready to start work on adding much more material to out library section.

Website Update Phase 1

Phase 1 – Theme change should happen on Monday 4th June. During the following weeks we will be dealing with snags first so that the current content can still be viewed and then introducing the new designs and features.

New Theme Layout

To enable us to add the features we need to the Library section, which is under construction, the “Theme” that controls the look of the present website will be changed soon. While the overall design will retained some pages will display differently and some features will move.

The theory is that this transition will be seamless, however experience tell us that there are often unforeseen consequences. Please bare with us through these changes and if you see something that does not work it would help up if you tell us about it using the CONTACT form.
