“a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand” [Matthew 7:26]

“a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand”. He rated appearance more important than durability. His house made a great impression while it was standing; but a fool of him when it collapsed. Your life may look good, but how about the foundation? Skimp on the foundation to spend on the superstructure and lose it all when the flood comes.
There is no choice of foundation if you are to endure to the end and on into eternity. No other foundation can be laid than that which is laid. Jesus is the foundation, the chief cornerstone in the church of the living God.
We need to stand upon Him – His word and His promises. We need to know His presence and peace. Then when the storms of life rage our testing will stand and we shall safely negotiate the sea of life and reach heaven’s shore.
