“a reason of the hope that is within you” [I Peter 3:15]

“a reason of the hope that is within you”. That hope is of eternal life and salvation through faith in Jesus and the reason for that hope you should be ready and prepared to give to any who ask you.
In so many cases we are afraid to testify to our faith when in a hostile environment. And even when we do receive that boldness that is promised through the power of the Holy Spirit it can happen that we do not grasp the opportunity.
The Christian has not followed cunningly devised fables neither is his assurance of salvation an illusion. There are earnest seekers who want to know what it is the Christian has and they will occasionally ask.
Let your light shine and you be ready to give an explanation about its brightness.
