“and I don’t know” [John 20:13(NIV)]
August 3
“and I don’t know”. Never hesitate to use these words. Mary uttered them on one of the greatest occasions in history and certainly the most amazing days in her life. They relate to Mary’s search for Jesus on finding the tomb empty.
When you don’t know, say so! Pretending to know gets nowhere. It is spiritual blindness when you think it is unnecessary to seek the Lord.
Jesus said that those that seek find. Mary’s request to the two angels in the otherwise empty tomb bears out this truth.
Whenever it is in life’s way that you are lost, the sensible thing is to ask the way. More so in your spiritual journey. You can ask others but ever remember that Jesus is alive, pray to Him when you don’t know.
