“and I will bless you” [Genesis 12:2(NIV)]

“and I will bless you”. The Lord promised Abram that if he would leave his country, his people and his father’s household and go to the land of which the Lord would show him, the Lord would bless Him.
Abram obeyed and became the father of all who exercise this faith and obedience. The Israelites became God’s chosen people and in spite of their wanderings and waywardness became the forebears of that greater nation, the redeemed out of all tongues and people, who would form the church or body of Christ.
All who would have that blessing of the Lord that makes rich and about which there is no sorrow must seek God’s face, listen to His voice and obey. Then He will bless you.
