“he who believes in me has everlasting life” [John 6:47(RAV)]

“he who believes in me has everlasting life”. Underwritten by His own atoning death and effectively sealed by His glorious resurrection, Jesus has no difficulty in fulfilling His promise. The deepest sinner need have no difficulty in accepting it, for beginning with the malefactor who hung next to Him at Calvary, men ever since have had the assurance of sin forgiven, peace with God and eternal life through trusting Him.
But since the Fall in Eden, man’s desire has never been fulfilled – until Christ appeared to put away sin, that is. It is a basic desire of man that he shall keep alive. The faith of those who had looked forward to His Coming could now be rewarded. And all who hear and receive the message of new life in Christ can enjoy the blessed experience of the new birth which is but the beginning of this everlasting life.
