Blessed be the Lord, because he has heard the voice of my supplications” [Psalm 28:6(RAV)]

“Blessed be the Lord, because he has heard the voice of my supplications”. The Psalmist thanks the Lord for hearing his requests. Do we thank Him for hearing us? It may be he thanked the Lord before the answer came – just for hearing and attending to him. He knew that if God heard He would act and answer.
In the first part of the psalm his plea to God was that God should not be silent to him. He expressed how we all feel when we pray and yet have no assurance that our prayer has been heard.
Such a period of silence causes us to cry more fervently upon God and makes us encourage our fearful hearts in the promises of His Word.
The assurance of God’s care should make us bless the Lord with great rejoicing and praise in song.
