“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead” [I Corinthians 15:20(NIV)]

“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead”. Doubt it or argue against it, you cannot change the reality of what took place on that first Resurrection Sunday. What a glorious ‘but’ this is! It makes an eternal difference. Christ was raised ‘out from amongst the dead’ and one day we shall rise ‘out from amongst the dead’ to meet Him when He comes again.
Because He lives, we shall live also and our resurrected bodies will be like His glorious body. Christ died and was buried, yet the grave could not hold Him and He burst forth, triumphant over sin and death. Others were raised back to life only to die again, but as a result of Christ’s resurrection, death is not the end but the start of a new life as God intended it to be. Hallelujah! Christ is risen!
