”Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool” [Psalm 99:5]
December 27
”Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool”. The Lord has done great things for His people and expects them to say so.
It is when we bow low before Him that we exalt Him high.
False humility draws attention to itself: true humility ensures that the Lord fills the horizon. It is lifting high the Lord Jesus while retaining a low profile oneself that provides deep satisfaction to the glory of His Name. Philip told Nathanael his brother how wonderful Jesus was and brought him to see and hear the One Whom he found.
Jesus is exalted when your nothingness draws alongside His greatness; when you let Him do something with what you thought impossible; when you tell someone else what He has done for you and when you are seen to be worshipping Him.
