for me” [Galatians 2:20]
December 28
”for me”. Have you never opened a parcel, stared in amazement at its content and then exclaimed “For me?” The gospel is a blessing because its message is so personal. It is something of great value to all who receive it.
All that we read happened when Jesus came to earth and lived and loved and died for us, rose again and ascended into heaven appears in the way God intended when I realise it was for me. God’s love does something for me – it applies the remission for my sin when I claim the blood that Jesus shed.
Loving and giving is something perfected in God. I must believe and receive and then express my love and gratitude to Him and to others. Incredibly His love is “for me”.
