“He has brought us to this place” [Deuteronomy 26:9(RAV)

“”He has brought us to this place”. After rehearsing God’s dealing with His People, Moses is here showing them the manner in which they should come before the Lord with the offering of their firstfruits.
It was important that they should recognise that the Lord had brought them to the place where they now were. It is the same today. You are either where you are by the grace of God or in the wrong place!
But acknowledging that the Lord has brought you here causes thanksgiving to arise and praise for His greatness to you. It also encourages you to look with confidence to Him to keep your steps in the days that lie ahead.
Looking to the future can be quite depressing: looking to the Lord will ever cause you to rejoice in His goodness.
