“I am sought of them that asked not for me” [Isaiah 65:1]

February 22

“I am sought of them that asked not for me”. A most comforting prediction and a door by which many have entered into Christ and been saved.
As a result of the Spirit led and directed activity of the disciples of Jesus, many who had no thought or desire for God have been awakened to the glorious truth of the gospel. Many have as a result begun to seek the Lord. And the Lord Who graciously made known His love to those who asked not for Him, is known never to turn away a seeking soul. Perhaps you fall into this category.
This verse also points to the day when the nation of Israel, now in no way asking for Jesus as Messiah, will turn about and seek Him.
When the restoration of both Jew and Gentile is complete it will indeed be glorious.
