“it becomes unfruitful” [Mark 4:19(RAV)]

“it becomes unfruitful”. The danger is to think that ‘unfruitful’ can never be a description of me.
Here are a few causes of unfruitfulness (you can add to the list) in the Christian life:

– an unhealthy interest in unproductive things, – an obsessive involvement in the things of the world,
– stunted spiritual growth – no proper food, – unforgiven sin,
– failure to appreciate God’s call and your brother in need, – ensnared by evil,
– lack of attention and watchfulness.

Knowing the dangers should prevent becoming trapped. Jesus ordains His followers to go and bring forth fruit. Care now will ensure a good harvest later.
