“I will pray the Father … he will give” [John 14:16(RAV)]

“I will pray the Father … he will give”. Completion is only effected when you receive.
Shortly after saying this, Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’. It was a symbolic and prophetic act. Jesus must have come to be attached to His disciples in a special way. He did not want them to feel bereft in any way when He left them. There was no need. If they would receive the Holy Spirit they would be guided aright, and empowered to accomplish God’s purpose as well as experience the fullness of the Lord in their lives.
It is when there is no room for Him that problems arise.
Pride is the main thing that fills our hearts to the exclusion of a Spirit-filled life.
