“Lydia … heard us” [Acts 16:14]

<p><b>“Lydia … heard us”. </b> When God calls and you obey, you usually soon find out what He is about to do. Remember, it is God working in your life: you are not left on your own.
Paul and his companions came to Europe for the first time. They had no planned course of action that we know of: they waited on the Lord to lead them. After a few days they went to a site at the riverside where some ladies gathered for prayer and preached to them. One of the ladies who heard was Lydia, a seller of purple, and it was the Lord who opened her heart and she became the first convert in Europe.
The point to make here is that Lydia heard because Paul preached. Many cross our path in the course of a life-time: they will only hear if we speak about Jesus to them.</p>
