“now they have no excuse for their sin” [John 15:22(NIV)]

“now they have no excuse for their sin”. Modern translations use the word ‘excuse’ for cloak or covering. Jesus is teaching that His coming swept away any excuse man felt he was able to make for his sin.
There is no excuse for the sinner continuing that way because Jesus’ blood cleanses from all sin.
There is no excuse to continue in sin because Jesus is able to prevent you from falling.
None can say he or she is too weak when Christ promises to fill with His strength. None can claim ignorance of the way when Jesus has gone before.
If there is then no place we can hide from the all seeing eye of the Lord Jesus, the obvious thing to do is to surrender to His claims and make Jesus Lord indeed.
