“One sows and another reaps” [John 4:37(NIV)]

“One sows and another reaps”. It has always been that way and our modern and scientific age has made little change. While we sometimes think we see a project through from start to finish, in fact someone else generally gets the benefit from our effort, just as we benefit from the effort of those who have gone before us.
If Jesus recognised this truth in relation to His disciples on earth, how much more should we see the same all these generations down the line!
If God is calling you to sow, do so without undue concern about seeing the fruit. And if yours is a harvest field, recognise that you are finishing what another began.
Remember it is God who gives the increase: the important thing is that we be labourers in His field and not bystanders.
