“they shall not be ashamed that wait for me” [Isaiah 49:23]

February 16

“they shall not be ashamed that wait for me”. Waiting can be frustrating in everyday life. It should promote patience but it takes a lot of discipline to turn our times of waiting into times of profit.
Waiting upon the Lord is quite different. For one thing, you know He will answer you and come to meet you. Yours will never be the experience of having waited in vain.
Prayer is a good example of waiting – addressing the Almighty and then waiting for the answer.
Waiting before God demands heart preparation: a self-examination that can only result in submission to His will.
Wait for Him and He’ll fill your life to overflowing with a goodness and bounty that can be found nowhere else. Wait on Him and whatever else happens, you’ll never be ashamed.
