“Sing your song of praise” [Jeremiah 31:7(GNB)]
October 3
“Sing your song of praise”. The Jew in the Old Testament and the Christian in the New have a song of praise on their lips. This song uplifts and magnifies the Lord our God. If the Lord loved us enough to die to save us we can be sure that love will extend to keeping us – this is cause for our continual praise. Giving our life to Him is the greatest thing we could do: letting Him lead and guide is the recipe for true happiness – it is worth singing out your praise to the Lord. People all around you or in the darkness of fear and superstition need to hear your song of praise and joy.
Jesus said, when they criticised the crowds for praising Him, that if they were silent the very stones would cry out!
Let it be that whatever else folk pick up from you today it will be your song of joy and praise to the Lord.
