“Take heed to yourselves” [Luke 17:3]

“Take heed to yourselves”. Jesus is warning us not to drift through the day like dead fish go downstream. You can do something positive today and that will make a difference. Taking heed and forethought will make you ready to respond to the unexpected.
When called upon to make a quick decision we need to be ready for refusing the wrong and choosing the right.
Our world is well filled with those bent on doing evil and we need to have no part in it. When repeatedly sinned against by a brother who nonetheless repeatedly repents and asks for forgiveness, we must be ready to give it.
The path you take through this day is not unlike a test track – often taxed to the limit and ever facing the unexpected. So watch yourself!
