“this house was finished”. The temple of the Lord was completed in spite of all the opposition and hindrance the returned exiles had faced. The workers had been made to stop and when at last the dispute was resolved and a new command to build received from Darius, the workers began to work with great speed. They had no time to lose: who could tell but the king’s instruction would be reversed again!
By God’s grace your house will be finished – the life that you have been given to build will be complete and added with many others to God’s glory. Yet you need to put your mind to the task in hand. The bricks don’t fall into place. God who has called you will equip and strengthen you. Get on with God’s work in your life today.
